Dive below sea level and discover the underwater beauty of the island of Krk. Aquarium-like, rich in coral walls and sea sponges, explore underwater caves, wrecks and Napoleonic cannons and discover a wonderful world of flora and fauna.
We will describe four places. The first is the sunken but well-preserved Peltastis ship. We can get to the place of sinking by boat that departs from the town of Šilo. Otherwise, the dive can also be done from the shore, the ship is about 50 meters away. The depth of the dive is about 25 meters, the boat is easily accessible and a lot of fish are waiting for you at the bottom.
Another place where it was found is the Tenki Shoal off the coast of Krk. The easiest way to get there is from the town of Selce near Crikvenica. The shoals start at a depth of 3-4 meters. The interesting thing about this shoal is the tunnel that cuts through it. The entrance to the tunnel starts at a depth of 6 meters, has a diameter of about 2 meters and is 10 meters long. The shoal is in the shape of a cone that we can swim around. We can descend to a depth of 20 meters where we reach the first terrace. Swimming along this terrace we come across an ancient peak where we can descend through a breakwater to a depth of 45 meters. Look out for the red gorgons on the tunnel wall.
The Vrbnik Cave is located about 100 meters to the right of the entrance to the port of Vrbnik. You will see a huge hall about 20 meters deep with a vertical exit to the surface.
Punat underwater Park is also a unique attraction for non-divers, non-swimmers and children, since diving is absolutely safe, and a specially designed underwater space suit filled with air provides an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the rich underwater world.
